Already have planned this year's holidays?

Newsflash

Where is it? The easiest way for such a considered point lying exactly under 'our place of residence. On the opposite side of the globe than a point on the Pacific Ocean to the south east of New Zealand. From the nearest point of land to the Antipodes Islands - good name, right? But the most difficult places to get what?

cheapest way to travel around europe First time trip to Europe
Hi everyone, I am a graduating senior in college.  I'm trying to plan my first trip to Europe (after graduation, around the middle of June) and would like some advice and opinions on how to do it correctly.   I will be there for 2 weeks and would like to hit the major countries (England, SPain, France, Italy, Germany, umm maybe a couple others I can't think of off the top of my head).  Cost is important to me although if something is a necessaity or is highly recommended by many people then I have no problems spending money to make sure my trip goes smoothly.  Also looking for books/web pages/FAQs that could be helpful.  Thanks a lot. Dzu

Dzu For details on travel between UK and Paris/Brussels/Calais/Lille, look at Eurostar's Web page   http://www.eurostar.com/eurostar/      where you'll find details of fares, ti_meta_bles and special offers as well as discounted hotels for Eurostar passengers.

Dzu Two weeks for those countries are much too less. Each country has its own special culture. I would suggest you either extend your vacation with a few weeks or you decide to go to just one or two countries. The best way (cheapest also I think) to travel around Europe is with a eurorail pass. The european rail system is very good and you can go almost anywhere. If you are interested in meeting people the youth hostels are the best places to stay. They are fairly cheap, the standard is quite ok. In most cities their are tourist informations right at the train stations and they are accustomed to backpackers, so they would be able to give you good advice where to stay. /Henrik
